The Lily of the Valley statement necklace captures the graceful movement of this beloved spring flower. Recognized for its delicate bell-shaped blossoms that arch along slender stems, lily of the valley symbolizes purity, renewal, and the return of happiness. Its flowing form brings a sense of softness and natural elegance.

Sculpted in bronze with our signature green hand patination, this necklace features two leaves with arching stems on either side of a central cluster of foliage with two flowers. Each soft white cast glass bloom is centered with a luminous white freshwater pearl, while a gold-plated chain completes the refined botanical composition.

Materials: The Lily of the Valley necklace is cast in hand patinated bronze and accented with white cast glass flowers, each adorned with a white freshwater pearl in the center.

His exacting attention to detail gives you true to nature, botanical jewelry.

About our Jewelry

Our unique jewelry is made by creating molds directly from botanical elements in a process similar to lost-wax casting. While traditional lost-wax casting begins with a hand-carved model of wax, Michael Michaud uses an actual leaf, branch or flower in place of the wax model. A mold is created around the botanical element and as it is heated the plant matter burns away and leaves behind a beautifully detailed mold of itself.

Michael Michaud

Artist Michael Michaud attended the Rochester Institute of Technology's prestigious school for American craftsmen, where he studied under designers Hans Christenson and Gary Griffin and became a master in the creation and manipulation of molds. After graduating in 1980, Michael Michaud continued to perfect his craft while working under jewelry designers in the New York City area.

In 1991, he found himself working in New York City's flower district and living in the beautiful Connecticut countryside - his love of the natural beauty that surrounded him began to blend with his passion for creating jewellery which lead to the birth of Michael Michaud Jewelry.
